Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development

discovered a problem. In response to the potential contamination, the company decided to recall their 400 g and 800 g Sham Garden Excellent products as a precaution. The

The recall affected 100 cases of Excellent tahina 800 grams and 100 cases of Excellent tahina 400 grams. According to the FDA, no illness has been reported as linked to recalled products to date but because the expiration date is November 2020 consumers should stay vigilant until informed otherwise. Consumers who purchased Sham Garden Excellent tahini 400g and 800g containers should avoid eating the product and either return them to the place of purchase for a full refund or dispose of it in a proper manner. Retailers have been advised by Five Star Inc. to inform their customers of the recall and avoid selling the products with UPC numbers 6214002717420 and 6214002717413.
