Cyclospora Parsley Outbreak 2025
Fresh parsley in restaurant and catered meals was linked to 69 laboratory-confirmed Cyclospora illnesses in four states in 2025. If you spent weeks dealing with diarrhea and exhaustion after one of those meals, your medical records and meal history may help explain what happened. Our lawyers are reviewing claims from this outbreak.
What Investigators Found
FDA identified parsley as the food that made people sick, but it did not determine how the parsley became contaminated. Its public report does not name the restaurants or states involved. Food and environmental samples that investigators tested were negative for Cyclospora, and some other samples could not be tested. By then, the parsley linked to illnesses was past its shelf life and no longer for sale.
FDA closed its investigation in December 2025 and said the outbreak was over. That public-health decision is separate from whether our firm is reviewing legal claims.
Could Your Illness Be Connected?
This outbreak involved several restaurants and catered meals, not one recalled brand you can check on a package. Write down where you ate, when you ate there, and when your symptoms began. A stool test confirming Cyclospora helps identify the illness. Receipts, reservations, and other meal records can help us investigate where it came from.
Your Legal Rights
For this 2025 outbreak, a stool test result and records of when and where you ate help show how you got sick. Save receipts, reservation records, and medical bills. If you got sick with Cyclospora in 2026, see our 2026 Cyclospora outbreak page and our Cyclospora lawyer guide.
