Red Monkey Foods Inc. Salmonella Lawyer Update: Parsley Products Recalled Due to Potential Salmonella Contamination.
A recall was issued by Red Monkey Foods Inc. affecting select organic parsley products due to potential salmonella contamination. The recall was issued on October 13, 2020, following a similar recall by High-Quality Organics (HQO), who issued the recall of their parsley products due to a sample of their product testing positive for potential salmonella contamination. Red Monkey Foods, Inc. was supplied their parsley products by HQO and subsequently, the parsley was repackaged into consumer containers for parsley and was also used to manufacture herbes de provence which was then sold in consumer containers.
The issue with the parsley was discovered by a customer who tested a sample of HQO’s parsley and found the potential salmonella contamination. Red Monkey Foods Inc. stated to the Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) that as of the recall announcement no cases of reported illnesses linked to the recalled products have been reported. The potentially contaminated parsley and the other herb blend were distributed to all 50 states as well as Puerto Rico.
The recalled products were sold in retail packages weighing 0.3-0.65 oz. and have “Best By” dates that range from March 11 to March 25, 2023, the best by date can be found on the square bottom of the glass bottle. The products affected by the recall are:

The FDA has advised consumers who have purchased any of the recalled products to dispose of or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund as soon as they are able to. People who have consumed any of the recalled parsley products should remain vigilant for symptoms of salmonella which can take effect in as early as 24hrs or as late as 2 weeks. Ron Simon, a National Salmonella Lawyer, stated:
“A Salmonella infection is usually diagnosed by a positive culture from a stool sample of the infected person. In more severe illnesses, Salmonella bacteria can sometimes be detected in a contaminated person’s blood or urine.”
