Fennel Seed Salmonella Lawyer: Recall in over 24 States.
The Food and Drug Administration
(FDA) announced on July 22, that Mountain Rose Herbs (MRH) of Eugene, in Oregon would be recalling their Fennel Seed Whole products because of a potential salmonella contamination.
The Fennel Seed Whole recall was in over 24 states AZ, CA, CO, FL, IL, MA, MI, MN, MT, NC, NE, NM, NY, OH, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, WV and to one consignee in Canada.
Some customers may have ordered the fennel seed product from the company’s website

, purchased it at the company’s retail shop in Eugene, Oregon, placed mail orders by phone, or purchased it from MRH customers who resold the Fennel Seed Whole to their own clientele. All customers who purchased the Fennel Seed Whole product are advised to refrain from consuming it and to return it to the place from which it was purchased or to dispose of the product in a safe manner a soon as possible.

The product comes in a clear plastic or poly-woven bag marked with lot # 25031, which is located on the principal display panel on the lower left of the label. Product has been sold and distributed between April 2019 and up to July 18, 2019.
As of today there has yet to be any reported case of salmonella linked to the Fennel Seed Whole product.
According to the FDA the potential for contamination was noted after testing by the company revealed the presence of Salmonella in a portion of its active inventory. Production of the product has been suspended while MRH continues their investigation.
