Enoki Mushrooms Recalled After Listeria Discovered

Top Quality Produce, Inc., is voluntarily recalling all cases of 200g/7.05oz package of Enoki Mushroom, product of Taiwan sold during 3/1/22-3/16/22 due to the Listeria contamination of Enoki mushrooms.

This recall was initiated after it was discovered that some packages of enoki mushrooms were contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. Listeria monocytogenes is an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea. Listeria infection can also cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.

No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this recall.

The affected product, 200g/7.05oz package of enoki mushrooms, was distributed nationwide to retail stores under the brand names Taiwan Enoki Mushroom. They come in a clear and green plastic bag. The following Product UPC codes and “sell by” dates are included in this recall: 848180019661
